_{For years he’d only been defined by his service. Bound to his goddess, he’d only existed to guard her temple and for so long he had simply been. Endured, because it was all that he had.
And now he was so much more, yet he struggled to know what to do with it. To be free, without constraints or bindings of servitude as a sentinel, it left him with possibilities. With the ability to do something for himself.

It was a liberation that came with a price, for the destruction of Mythal’s temple had loosened his chains. And yet now he could finally wander wherever his feet took him.

It was a strange feeling, unlike any he could describe. But the feel of sand sticking between his toes brought a smile to his lips.
It’d been years since he’d seen anything but the temple, centuries since he’d been to a beach or river. And it brought a soft laugh to his throat as the salty tang in the air stuck to his lips.

He’d forgotten what made him happy. He would enjoy finding out again.
